It is now impossible to finish all the internal tournaments before Christmas. So I am extending the final date until January 31st. All fourth round Swiss matches not by finished by Christmas will be double-defaulted, unless one player can give me an excellent reason by it should not be. All 5th round Swiss matches must be finished by January 31st, as must the Knockouts and the Club Championship. I shall be asking for entries for next years contest shortly. |

| The 2009 Milton Keynes Chess Club AGM will be held on 10th September in the Berrill Cafe at the Open University. | ||
| New venue for 2009:- Cafe in the Berrill Building. The Berrill Building is the first, prominent, building on your right as you come onto the main site through the East Gatehouse. There is a small amount of visitor parking in front of the Berrill reception area and substantial East Parking on the perimeter fence. The Central Walkway passes through the Berrill Cafe at its eastern extremity and access to the cafe is available via a small walkway on the opposite side of the road to the large library building.(At 7.30 it is also possible to walk through the Berrill Reception area – the cafe is immediately to the rear).
