Richard Mahony is now making a good recovery after his recent illness and has been down the club a couple of times.

During the Milton Keynes B - Open University match, Richard Mahony was taken ill. Femi immediately took him to Milton Keynes General Hospital where he was diagnosed as having had a brain haemorrhage. He has now been transferred to The West Wing at the Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Everybody from the chess club wishes him a speedy recovery.

The 2007 Milton Keynes Chess Club AGM will be held on 13th September in the Refectory at the Open University.

George Ward has taken over as Tournament Controller and is now accepting entries to an Open Swiss and Knockout and an Under 125 tournament.
